I like software with awkward edge cases and a reason to exist.
I usually get involved before everything is decided. I ask high-leverage questions, sketch the architecture, write the code, and instrument observability after release.
I've learned that the tiny interface details and the boring operational infrastructure are fundamentally the same job.
What stays
constant.
Name things properly
Good names make screens easier to use and codebases easier to change.
Leave notes for later
Future me and the next developer should not need archaeology to change something.
